Is anyone part of a buying club? I have been doing a bit of research on local buying clubs
and if I do not find one to join I was contemplating starting one? Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Mixed emotions on the buying club thing. They can be frustrating and enlightening. It just depends on your people in your group. The company we bulk buy from (Azure Standard)delivers to designated drop sites and the orders are prepackaged. The customer pays the company and the drop site person doesn't have to handle any money or problems, just provide a drop site and be there for pickup. Our gal says a few headaches are worth the trouble, since her order is delivered to her house and she doesn't have to go out. But, she does have people take advantage of her good graces from time to time. We appreciate her being there, so we always gift her with eggs, jam, or sometimes homemade soap, and we always try to be on time to pickup our order.
I need to learn more about these buying clubs. What are you most interested in joining one for?

Ha! Great picture. I'm sorry that I have no info for you on the buying club thing, but I had to comment on the size of that stick! What a good dog! :-)
I actually thought about this myself once. Research did little to help me find something local though. Let me know if you discover something.
