Maine Man ordered broilers (Cornish Rocks) and a new flock of RI Reds. For any of you locals we may have some laying hens to sell and we will definitely have some broilers. We will keep about 25 each for ourselves. I am just waiting to hear back from one friend before I can promise out any of the layers. We will have more later in the season because Country Boy will be getting his incubator going in the next month or so. Let me know if your interested.

Oh I see how you are....only opening the offer to local folks...
Well I guess I will have to settle for raising Vantress Crosses again this year then. Maybe I will have to talk to Farm Boy once he get's that brooder going and see if he is willing to ship some chicks out.
My you guys are starting your flock kind of early there aren't you? I normaly don't order chicks until April or May.
Ha GW. They are not coming in until the end of March.
We used to raise guineas that way and we did some ducks as well.

Awww you have no idea how I wish we were ready for chickens I would take you up on your offer so fast but hubby is the realistic one... "we have no place to put the chickens" he says, I would put them in the bathroom but we really do still need to clear some land lol I love your blog thanks for sharing.
P.S. I have sent you three (two were resends) e-mails and I dont know if you are getting them lol
I am on facebook under http://www.facebook.com/jcapraro1 I am going to try to talk hubby into the chickens... maybe it will give us a deadline for building a coop lol. I think secretly he is going crazy with all my plans for animals. You might be right about the livestock and snow we are finding it a little difficult it being our first year in the house and all. Heres hoping your winter is going well!
