They are suppose to carry for 3 months, 3 weeks, and 3 days. Hmmmm, any day. Maine Man consulted with the old farmer just down the road. He came up to check them out and he guessed 1-2 weeks. What is your guess, how many piglets do you think Ham will have?
P.S. I have yet to respond to the comments in my last post but plan to in my next post.
I know absolutely nothing about pigs but I thought it would be fun to guess anyway. I am going to go with August 5th as her delivery date because it is the day before the new moon. I will also guess that she will have 9 piglets. Best wishes, I hope her delivery goes without any hitches.
ReplyDeleteLeslie is right - watch for the full moon and count her nipples, that is how many piglets she'll keep (she may actually have more.) Good luck! P.S. Did you know that when piglets are born, they wiggle out of the sack on their own, sneeze a few times and then they find the nipple next to which they had layed while inside mama....true story from an old pig farmer.
ReplyDeleteAwww, I have no idea haha. But full/new moons do wonders for woman to have babies, so I'm gonna bet with the other ladies that that may be the day.
ReplyDeleteHA! Sorry...I just LOLed when I saw that pic. It just strikes me as funny!
ReplyDeleteI like the story from the old pig farmer.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess August 7th for the birth day. I think there will be 10 piglets.
ReplyDeleteI'll let you all know when the piglets come. I did not know that Queenie, thanks for the info. Can't wait to tell MM!
ReplyDeleteI knew that. I hope she has one (Or more) Baby (ies). I want to see them.
ReplyDeleteI know about 3 things about pigs.
They are (supose to be) the neatest animal on the farm, they eat A LOT, and the thing Queenie said.
Did I spell supose right?
I did spell it wrong. It's spelled. s-u-p-p-o-s-e. suppose.
