Not the best shot but it gives you a better idea of size and shape.
OK I KNOW YOU MAINERS KNOW WHAT THIS IS. LET'S SEE SOME COMMENTS FROM SOME OF YOU LOCAL FOLLOWERS THAT NEVER SPEAK UP! I WOULD LOVE TO HERE FROM YOU...LIKE MIKI AT THE BANK SHE'S A REAL MAINE WOMAN OR MY NEIGHBORS, COME ON GARY YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS? I'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM SOME OF YOU LOCALS TOO.
p.s. MM didn't kill me for the last post, he laughed. Whew!
Its a big ol' salamander? Where would you find that this time of year?
ReplyDeletethose are great pictures. The first one is so stunning! put some antlerss and a red santa hat on that bad a__!
ReplyDeleteIs that a M___P___?
I didn't know you ahd those.I don't think we have them here in MI!
Now I have to go googling.
LMAO!!!! Great Pic!!
ReplyDeleteMy guess would be a Mud Skipper.
p.s. wait till you see my contribution to Sunday Stills.;-)
The consensus in ICU is a NEWT. I am totally amazed. I had a Plecostomus that grew to 2 ft in my aquarium. I never took him out to take picures of him. LOL. Thanks for the laugh, we all needed it.

A dog behind and a salamander!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a greyhound behind with chopped off tail and sunglasses.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like our big barking salamander here...can't guess about Maine.
ReplyDeleteLove the sun glasses. Except I thought that was a one eyed dog going north at first... ;)
Well being from Maine, my guess would be a fresh water eel....
ReplyDeletejbmain
Mud Puppy, right?
ReplyDeleteI am still laughing at the first photo :)
Love that first photo!
ReplyDeleteI think the second one is a salamander. We have smaller ones here but they kind of look the same.
Very cute. It's a salamander!
ReplyDeleteLMBO! Had a boxer...and ...have done this same picture before! And it still cracks me up!...Mud Puppy!
ReplyDeleteHad a good laugh at the first picture! Boxer butt? And some kind of ugly ole eel?
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice big mud puppy, and a great butt shot! I love it!
ReplyDeleteAs I'm late to the comments, already knew the dog butt, and I thought the 2nd looked like a tadpole from a bullfrog, but no clue if you have those in Maine.
ReplyDeleteClearly that first one is a dog butt :) I think that fits with a collage I put up yesterday. Is that one of those mud skipper things?? I've never seen one (we don't have them in Hawaii) but I've heard of them.
ReplyDeleteMine entry is up here
What a cute dog butt face...but that other thing is not cute (sorry ;~) and I wouldn't be holding it either...ok...I can take it...call me a wussy...but I'm still not going to hold it!!
ReplyDeleteA very pretty puppy butt and a Mud Puppy or Water Dog depending on what you call it. Did you get that from your frog pond?
ReplyDeleteLike the others, I vote that the first pic is the back of the dog with the glasses to make the face.... but the second - salamander maybe? I've seen some similar around here, but with a bit more blue-ish color on the body...
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm guessing a nice ole dog butt also, haha!
ReplyDeleteCute doggy picture and the second one is EEWWW...I think its a Salamander.
ReplyDeleteIs that a brindle boxer sporting those shades on its you know what, b*tt? LOL
ReplyDeleteAs for the other slimmy thing, I thought some kind of toad until I saw the rest of it. LOL
1. I concur, a santa hat would have rounded out that first picture perfectly! Nice hind end!
ReplyDelete2. Lampre' Eel?? Am I right?
Oooo...the excitement!
Love the photo of the dog behind..very cute! The other creature looks scary to me:)
ReplyDeleteSunglasses on a very hairy face and a Snakehead Fish?
ReplyDeleteFirst picture is Ramona's behind and I have no clue what the other ones are.
ReplyDeleteHellbender I'd call it...
ReplyDeleteI think everybody looks better in sunglasses.
ReplyDeletethat is way to fun! Great photo!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Love the Boxer pic, that is too funny!
