I realize this posting is really, reall...Hi there:

I realize this posting is really, really old, but I've been making my way through your blog all day and just found it.

We actually have a 3-pound toy Yorkshire Terrier who does the exact same thing. Unfortunately, adding broth or even human food to his dog food was not a functional answer as he would refuse to eat the broth-covered food and would shove his food out of the way to get to the human food we attempted to mix with it. We've been forced to give up and allow him human food as he nearly starved himself to death. I'd never heard of such a thing, either, but thankfully our veterinarian is very thorough and did the research and found other similar cases, so she knew we weren't just making excuses for feeding our dog human food.

I know from previous postings that your dog has passed and I am sorry for your loss. Just wanted you to know that there are occurrences of this out there, even though it is rather rare.

May you find peace in everything,
JasonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8054676916913880208.post-47813151430716471272010-09-03T22:17:08.743-04:002010-09-03T22:17:08.743-04:00Thanks YD. I know my June is picky but not to the point to starve herself. She would wait till we finish our dinner then realize that she's not getting any, then she would go and eat her food.YD, sometimes with ♥June and ♥Angel Samanthahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06976378557392639152noreply@blogger.com
